The housebuilder has secured a site off Broad Street Green Road in Heybridge, Maldon, where it has secured planning permission for 281 homes.
This development will be known as Willow’s Reach and feature a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes with 140 of these to be allocated for shared ownership and rent.
Work has begun on site with completion being targeted for this year.

Elsewhere, Persimmon has completed a purchase of land south of Aveley in Thurrock.
This site has planning permission for 80 units, and the housebuilder is preparing a reserved matters application to submit in the coming weeks.
If granted, Persimmon is aiming to start work on the site in 2027.
“This is a sign of our ambitious growth plans in Essex as we help to meet the ever-increasing needs of first-time buyers, families and those in housing need locally,” said Richard Hush, managing director at Persimmon Homes Essex.
